South Wales Golf Club
South Wales Golf Club’s commitment to customer experience is exemplified by its readiness to make continuous improvements. Managed by the Thompson family, their leadership seems to be heading the right direction. The bones of this course designed by Tom Clark are solid. The course has a bright future, if the plans the owners have are implemented as outlined. Even with current conditions (cart paths need attention, tee boxes were a little rough) the course is playable, walkable and there plenty to enjoy.
Some of our favorite holes: Hole 2 - a very beautiful par 3, over water! The forward tees don’t need to go over water, but it’s still a beautiful hole. Hole 10 has a wide open fairway with a creek along the left side of the fairway up to the green. Visually challenging. Hole 13 from the tips is a thrill and visually challenging. While there are no bunkers on this hole, there is a creek to deal with. And, finally, Hole 18 is a great finishing hole at 677 yards from the tips. Mostly downhill to the green.
